Understand the change, then follow the evidence
Health Signal Africa connects health journalism, public health evidence, research translation and practical healthcare information. Kenya is the starting point, with African health systems providing the wider frame. The publication asks what is changing, what needs to be watched, what a development means, which responses are available and who is behind them.
Health financing and donor transition are the flagship editorial focus. Hospital systems, public health, research and technology connect financial decisions to the services they are intended to support. The aim is a useful record that a provider, researcher, policymaker or informed reader can follow from an announcement to the evidence that establishes its practical significance.
How the launch archive was prepared
The archive combines original source-based analysis with attributed research briefings. News analysis identifies the originating authority and keeps its statements separate from Health Signal’s interpretation. Research briefings reproduce selected, commercially reusable study excerpts under the licence stated on the article, credit the researchers and link to the complete primary paper. Those researchers are not presented as members of Health Signal’s staff.
Preparation used AI assistance. Source, date, attribution and licence checks establish the provenance of a briefing; they do not independently replicate a study or audit an institution’s claims. Archive entries use their primary source or event dates. New reporting uses its normal publication date. Historical developments retain their original dates and source context.
A clear commercial relationship
Independent reporting is separated from sponsored placements. A provider profile is an editorial information record unless it is explicitly labelled as paid. A campaign requires a reviewer’s approval and an eligible delivery window. House promotions advertise Health Signal’s own inventory and identify that relationship. A listing or linked source does not establish regulatory approval, local availability or endorsement.
